Grand MaMa's Filling Out Roster, Fall to 0-2

The Grand MaMa's started out on the right foot even before the game started.

Being able to dress more than 5 guys has been an issue for the team throughout their years, no matter what the name.  On this night however, 6 guys would give it a go.

Newly acquired Kevin Morgan made his debut for the MaMa's, scoring 4 points and grabbing 5 rebounds.

The team is still moving forward with identifying a team chemistry.  Having 8-10 guys on the roster, though rarely suiting them all up at once, has the team working on team chemistry night in and night out.

Still unavailable for this past Mondays 57-67 loss to Coke Boys include Kyle Komer, Justin Woo, Brent Hunter, and Kerry Hunter.

As for the contest, both Brandon and Jason Hunter led the team with 16 points a piece and Matt Eberwein (6 points) led the team with 8 rebounds.  Though the team could only muster 23 total rebounds on the night as the Coke Boys athleticism and height proved to be too much for the Grand MaMa's.

The team shot fairly well from three, hitting on 39% (11/28) of their attempts from long range; Chuck Caldwell was 75% from there (3/4).  Yet the team only shot 40% inside the arc and struggled to find any space inside as every shot was contested by the length of the Coke Boys big men.  The Grand MaMa's shot 40% (21/53) total for the game.

The good guys will look forward to next Monday in search for their first win of the shortened fall season.

Time of the game was not available at the time of this writing.
